The long-run strategy for any business is to focus on creating quality products and services. As immigrants arriving in the United States, we fell in love with the Made in USA brand. The brand represented products that lasted forever and were the trend for other countries to admire. Whether we were talking about furniture, jeans, or Ford trucks. They were built to last.
Once entrenched in American culture, we noticed a disturbing trend. Everything sold in America was Made in China. We would go into an American company like Walmart and all the clothes, toys, and even the food was Made in China. The common factor were these Chinese products were low quality and cheap. During this COVID19 panademic, it has forced us to reevaluate our supply chain and our relationship to China. It has force us to rethink what it means to be Made in America.
This is a CALL TO ACTION to all venture capitalists, investors, and private equity. Take action and believe in Americans. Invest in Americans. Believe in the concept of Made in USA. Believe in innovation and entrepreneurship. These core values are what makes America different from other countries. We are asking all Americans to invest in America. Otherwise, history will repeat itself. Otherwise, we will be known as a low-cost producer manufacturing cheap, low quality products and services.
